Terms of service

1. Who we are
OneRank is an online tool for search engine optimisation (SEO), run by [Company legal name], a company registered in [country] (company number [number]), at [registered address]. In these terms, “we” means [Company legal name] and “you” means the person or business using OneRank.
By creating an account or choosing a plan you agree to these terms. If you use OneRank for a business, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.
2. Accounts and teams
- You need an account with a verified email address. Keep your login details safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Everything in OneRank belongs to a team. The team's owner and admins can invite and remove members, change the plan and delete projects.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
- Only add websites you own or have permission to analyse. Our site audit visits the pages of the website you add, and respects its robots.txt.
3. Plans, trials and payment
- The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars, in advance, through our payment provider Stripe. Current prices and limits are on our pricing page.
- Paid plans start with a free trial the first time a team subscribes. A card is required to start it. We email you before the trial ends; if you don't cancel, the first monthly payment is taken when the trial ends.
- You can upgrade or move to a smaller plan at any time. Stripe adjusts the price for the rest of the month.
- Prices may change. We will tell you at least [30] days before a price change affects you.
- [Taxes: prices exclude / include VAT and sales tax where applicable.]
- [Refunds: payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise / describe the refund policy.]
4. If a payment fails
If a monthly payment fails, Stripe retries the card and we email the team's owner and admins. The timeline is:
- Day 0: the payment fails. You keep full access to your plan for 14 days, and we email you with a link to update your card.
- Day 7: we email you a reminder. Stripe keeps retrying the card.
- Day 13: we email you a last reminder before the plan changes.
- Day 14: if the payment still hasn't been made, the team moves to the Free plan. Projects and tracked keywords above its limits become read-only: you can open, export, back up or delete them, but not change them, and their scheduled checks stop. The newest project stays working, and an owner or admin can choose a different one on the Billing page.
- 60 and 83 days after the move to Free: we email you that data above the Free limits will be removed, with links to download backups.
- 90 days after the move to Free: we delete only what is above the Free limits, oldest projects first, plus history older than the Free plan keeps. Everything within the Free limits stays.
Paying the amount due, or choosing a paid plan, at any point before that removal restores your plan and switches everything back on straight away.
5. Cancelling and closing your account
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Billing page. It stays active until the end of the month you've paid for, then the team moves to the Free plan, and anything above the Free limits is handled as in If a payment fails from the 14-day point on (read-only, then removed after 90 days unless you choose a plan again).
- You can delete your projects at any time. To close your account entirely, [delete it from your profile / email us at [contact email]].
- What we keep after you cancel or close your account, and for how long, is in our Privacy policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use OneRank to attack, overload or scan websites you don't have permission to analyse;
- try to get around plan limits, share one account between separate businesses, or resell OneRank without our written agreement;
- copy our data in bulk, scrape the app, or reverse-engineer it;
- upload anything unlawful, or use the AI features to create spam, misleading content or content that infringes others' rights.
7. AI suggestions and SEO data
- The AI summaries, actions and drafts are suggestions. Check them before you publish or act on them; you are responsible for what goes on your website.
- Search volumes, rankings, backlinks and traffic figures are estimates from third-party data providers and our own crawler. They can be incomplete or out of date.
- No one can guarantee rankings on Google, and we don't.
8. Your content
You own the content you add and the reports you create. You let us store and process it only to run OneRank for you, as described in our Privacy policy.
9. Availability and liability
- We work to keep OneRank available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable. Current status is on our status page.
- [Limitation of liability: to the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that can't be limited by law.]
10. Changes, law and contact
- We may update these terms. For important changes we will email the team's owner at least [30] days before they apply.
- These terms are governed by the laws of [country / state], and disputes go to the courts of [place].
- Questions? Email [contact email].
